We stayed in Brownsville VT and this place was highly recommended. They were right, it's well worth the trip. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and great views. The white chocolate was a nice touch as well
Been to many CMan restaurants and this is one of the better. Sitting by the Sugar River, and the falls, the setting is warm and romantic. Loved the deck and the falls at night. First snow of the year made the visit extra special. Service was good and not too fast or slow. Good wine selection with many wines available by the glass. Quality of food was good, not special, but good. No complaints.

I hesitate to give The Common Man three stars. Despite an uninspired menu, but all the specials we've tried have been fantastic: Interesting ingredients, seasonal, and delicious. The rest of the menu is standard fare: Fish, steaks, chicken, and burgers. The location is fantastic, so it's a great place to take your tourist friends. The food is solid enough that the location will make up for it.
The scrambled eggs, quiche, home fries all looked dried and not appealing. The apples wrapped in a pancake and the waffles were very good. The bacon was good, but the sausage was overdone and dry tasting. The Haddock and Chicken Parm was very good. The Prime Rib was tender. The dessert selection was plentiful. I didn't have any of the salads. I would rate this visit average.
The cost $19.99 plus tax and gratuity. The waitress was excellent.
